Information for your patients
The National Allergy Council encourages people with an allergy (and their carers) to add information about serious and life-threatening allergies, if this information is missing in their My Health Record. We have developed the following guides in consultation with ASCIA members on the Working Group and Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia. If your practice or hospital clinical information system does not currently upload patient information into My Health Record, you can support your patients to add the information themselves by providing them with a copy of these guides.
1800MEDICARE app
Your patients can securely view key health information in their record through the 1800MEDICARE app. This includes allergies, medicines, immunisations as well as pathology results.
Electronic Prescriptions
Your patients can choose to have their prescription sent to their mobile phone instead of receiving a paper prescription. They can also set up an Active Script List which lists all of their prescriptions on their mobile phone. For more information on electronic prescriptions and Active Script Lists, please click on the link below.
